Brownies

Brownies! Beautiful, chocolaty, chewy brownies. Chocolate is not the easiest thing to shoot, but it sure was delicious trying. We used Ricardo's Expresso Brownie recipe for our photo shoots. They are delicious. Hope these inspire you to vote and to maybe try the recipe for yourself!

Carved Pumpkins

When Halloween comes around, carved pumpkins are as inevitable as candy! So with Halloween just behind us, here is the latest in our food photo competition. We decided to do a quick one for which the only rule was to photograph a carved pumpkin.

Just as usual, please vote just one using the buttons at the bottom of the post!

Home Made Pasta - Most Votes Roberta Boyle

After a nice long summer break, we are back with a new theme and a new competitor (say hello to Sophie Morel everyone!)

This month, we made fresh, from scratch, homemade pasta. The challenge was to make a diptych containing one shot of the making of the pasta and one shot of the final plate. We also absolutely had to use a flash somewhere in these shots.

So here they are, please vote for your favorite using the voting buttons at the bottom of the post. Just vote once!

Jamie's Food Revolution Omelet

Photo 1 - Fanny Lalonde (Most Votes!)
Photo 2 - Roberta Boyle (Really close second!)
Photo 3 - Josée Marino

This month was a last minute idea when we found out Jamie would be posting ingredients on Twitter on Friday. We gave ourselves the weekend to shoot which was a tighter deadline than we are used to.

Our first thought when we saw that it was an omelet was "Omelet? That's a little boring." Our second thought was "Darn, I can't make a decent-looking omelet.". Well, a couple of us checked out the video. It really didn't look that hard. I even recruited my daughter to make the omelet. It was her first one, and she did a great job.

So now we all can make a decent omelet. It wasn't boring, and it wasn't very difficult. What about the photo?

Easter Eggs

Photo 1 - Josée Marino
Photo 2 - Roberta Boyle (most votes)
Photo 3 - Fanny Lalonde

Since Easter is almost at our door, and spring as well, we decided to shoot eggs. Cooked eggs. The eggs had to be the focal point of the picture, and to add to our competition, the shot had to be a diptych.

Pick one, and vote by selecting the one you like with the voting gadget under the photos. Just click ONCE beside the number for photo you want to vote for.
